Royalty: A Unique Blend of Gothic and Islamic Styles

A Luxurious Residential House Designed by Mea'ad AlAbboud

The combination of gothic and Islamic styles creates a memorable and functional space

The Royalty project, located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is an extension of an existing residential house. Designed by Mea'ad AlAbboud and her team, this luxurious residential house showcases a unique blend of gothic and Islamic styles, resulting in a space that is both visually stunning and functional.

The inspiration for this design came from combining the elegance of gothic architecture with the intricate patterns of Islamic design. Mea'ad AlAbboud explains, "I combined the gothic style with the Islamic style to come up with this unique design. The exterior arches and interior columns are inspired by the gothic era, while the patterns are inspired by Islamic art. With a little twist, all these elements worked perfectly to create an amazing luxurious design."

One of the standout features of this design is the exhibition dining room, which doubles as a gallery for artwork such as paintings and sculptures. This space allows the homeowner to showcase their collection in a unique and stylish way. Additionally, the bedrooms in this residential house are all identical, giving the space a 5-star luxury hotel atmosphere.

The realization of this design involved the use of various technologies and techniques. In the main sitting room, a masterful 3D photo lenticular printing technique was used to create a centerpiece featuring King Salman and Crown Prince MBS. The main entrance features hand-made calligraphy frames displaying the 99 names of Allah, crafted by Mea'ad AlAbboud herself.

With a total area of approximately 700 sqm, the Royalty project boasts varying heights among its spaces, ranging from 5.4m to 6.5m. The design team, led by Mea'ad AlAbboud, carefully considered the technical specifications to ensure that every aspect of the design was executed flawlessly.

Despite the cultural challenge of designing a space intended for male use only, Mea'ad AlAbboud overcame this obstacle and created a fantastic design that immediately satisfied the client. The Royalty project is a testament to her creativity and ability to meet the unique requirements of her clients.

Currently under construction, the Royalty project is set to become a stunning example of the seamless integration of gothic and Islamic styles in residential design. All materials and furniture have been carefully selected and ordered from different factories and brands to bring the specified design to life.

The Royalty project, designed by Mea'ad AlAbboud, has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements.

With its unique blend of gothic and Islamic styles, the Royalty project is a testament to Mea'ad AlAbboud's talent and creativity. This luxurious residential house showcases the perfect combination of elegance, functionality, and cultural inspiration.
